Privacy Policy

cazz.ac is my personal site. This page exists to be upfront about what data the site collects from visitors and how to opt out.

What gets collected

cazz.ac uses Google Analytics 4 to get a rough sense of traffic. Specifically, GA collects:

• Approximate location (city-level, derived from your IP address — the IP itself is not stored)
• Browser and device type
• Pages you visited and how long you stayed
• The referring site, if any (where you came from)

What doesn't get collected

There's no login, no forms, and no input fields anywhere on cazz.ac, so there's nothing personally identifying for the site to collect or send anywhere. No names, no emails, no comments, nothing typed.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_L4WE37X5RD, used to recognize returning visitors and group page views into sessions. They expire after 2 years.

How to opt out

You've got plenty of options:

• Use any ad blocker (uBlock Origin, AdGuard, etc.) — they block GA by default
• Install Google's official GA opt-out browser add-on
• Use a browser with built-in tracking protection (Firefox in Strict mode, Brave, Safari)
• Enable Do Not Track in your browser settings

Outbound links

cazz.ac links to external services (GitHub, CurseForge, Hardcover, and so on). Those sites have their own privacy practices that aren't covered here. Once you click through, you're in their world, not mine.

Subdomains

This policy covers cazz.ac specifically. Subdomains under cazz.ac (like dayz.cazz.ac) may have their own data practices.

About your data

This site doesn't store any of the data Google Analytics collects — Google does. To see what they have on you or to delete it, use your Google account's data & privacy page. For anything else about cazz.ac specifically, open an issue on my GitHub.
